I Like

Food for Thought
[Christ Is Deeper Still] Meditations on Scripture, the character of God, and the Christian life, plus art to illustrate.
[Like Mother, Like Daughter] No-nonsense and extremely funny posts on homemaking, child-rearing, and spiritual thriving by several generations of mothers and daughters.
[Naptime Diaries] One of my favorites. This gal blogs honestly about walking out a life of faith: the fears, the funny, the everyday grace.
[A Holy Experience] "Because all of life flames with God." You either like Ann Voskamp's writing or you don't. I do.
[The Rabbit Room] Articles and podcasts and reviews! Music and theology and books! Movie reviews by priests! Finding and putting Christ in culture.
[Tim Challies] This I particularly like for "A La Carte," daily collections of thought-provoking links.
[White Horse Inn] If you're of the Reformed persuasion, enjoy thoughtful discussion, and love to read, you'll like this. "Our vision is to see a modern reformation in our churches through a rediscovery of God, the gospel, and the classic Christian confessions proclaimed during the sixteenth-century Reformation."

Food for Munching
[Food Blog Search] This is where I go first when looking for a recipe. It's fairly brilliant: a database that pulls together thousands of food blogs, and gives you a range of options no matter what you search for.
[Simply Recipes] Great site with archive upon archive of delicious, real-food recipes with accompanying pictures and anecdotes.
[Smitten Kitchen] Fantastic food and photos from Deb Perelman, including the best ever creamed spinach.
[Things My Belly Likes] Obviously, with a name like that!
[Health-Bent] I love this for the food, the humor, the photography. Paleo/Primal food that everybody will like.

Home, Style, Pretty Things
[Design Crush] Art, food, and miscellany you didn't even know you needed. The weekend roundups are fun.
[Design*Sponge] Food and drink, interior design, gardens, clothing, crafts!
[The Sartorialist] Where you can vicariously people-watch and get ideas for what to wear, even when you haven't the clothing budget of a billionaire.
[Snippet and Ink] Weddings, but still fun to browse through after you have the ring on your finger.
[The Style Files] A classy design blog. Though I'm not quite such an extreme minimalist, I love her eye for detail and color.

Natural Living
[Kitchen Stewardship] "Balancing God's gifts . . . one step at a time." That about sums it up. Her posts on yogurt are what got me started on the whole Real Food thing!
[Passionate Homemaking] Of the many natural living blogs out there, this is one of my favorites. She is serious about taking care of her family, but even more serious about glorifying Christ.
[GNOWFGLINS] "Enjoying God's natural, organic, whole foods, grown locally and in season." Hurray for Simple Lives Thursday.
[Simple Organic] Written by a group of smart and delightful ladies, with posts on a wide variety of topics. And lots of pictures. I like pictures.
[Crunchy Betty] This is my top resource for homemade whatever. Face masks, hair conditioners, lip balm, kitchen cleaners, cough remedies. Besides, the girl's a hoot.
[Mark's Daily Apple] The primal lifestyle: in essence, eat (and exercise) like a caveman. If you're willing to think off the beaten path, awfully helpful.
[Modern Alternative Mama] This is the main blog, which I enjoy following, and there are also sister sites focused on cooking, alternative health, and pregnancy.
[Food Renegade] Though I don't always like the combative and complaining tone that can come through on this blog, I have appreciated a lot of things about it, especially Fight Back Fridays.

Humour
[Wondermark] Quirky, hilarious webcomic. David Malki blends Victorian-era illustrations into a whimsical and snarky potpourri.
[Dinosaur Comics] Apart from Wondermark, the only webcomic I find worth following. Warning: often inappropriate for children. :)

Music
[Grooveshark] Free music streaming, accessible wherever you have internet connection. Almost anything you can think of is on here.
[Pandora] No monthly limits and a wealth of music. Sign me up.

Le Shopping
[Amazon] Hopefully you already know about this. But seriously. Before you buy anything anywhere else, look on Amazon.
[Swagbucks] This is another reason to frequent Amazon; you can use Swagbucks search to earn Amazon gift certificates! And then you get free stuff, just for looking around on the Internet! If you search as often as I do, this really adds up.
[King Arthur Flour] The company website sells virtually everything you need for baking. Also, the blog has rock-solid recipes with precise details for every step.
[Vitacost] Lots of vitamins, supplements, and other "natural products" for super prices. There is also a flat shipping fee of $5, which I appreciate. Shipping kills me.
[Eberly Poultry] All products are grassfed and hormone- and antibiotic-free; many are organic as well. Look for their twice-annual sale to really stock up on whole chickens, chicken legs, turkey sausage, ground turkey, duck...

[Miller's Natural Foods] I mostly buy dry bulk products here (rolled oats, unsulphured coconut, mung beans for sprouting, fruit-sweetened cranberries). But they also have fresh produce and dairy, plus a large and reasonably priced selection of packaged "brand name" food and supplement items, from flaxseed oil to vitamin C.
[Spring Valley Fruit Farm] The place to go for blueberries. You can find them cheaper but I've never found better. They don't spray once the bushes have blossomed and you are free to eat berries as you pick. :)
